|Public Library – July 1, 1924
The Library Board met in regular session with all members present except the president Mr. J. B. Cunningham. Mr. Vawter was appointed to act as chairman.
The following bills and salaries were allowed and ordered paid:
Total – 125.08
The report of the Librarian was received and ordered filed.
The report of the contingent was as follows:
Balance June 3, 1924 – 4.06
Fines during month – 9.07
Expenditures during month – 3.43
Balance July 1, 1924 – 10.00
The question of vacation for the Librarian was discussed and it was decided to give her one month's vacation and full pay, the vacation to be taken at sometime during the summer at her discretion. Mrs. E. E.O. Price was appointed to act as librarian during Mrs. Dickey's absence at a salary of $50.00 for the month.
The Board allowed $75.00 for the purchase of new books during the month of July.
There being no further business the Board adjourned.
