The Board met in the Library building in regular session with Mrs. Smith, Pierce, Burtsfield, Mrs. McQueen and Mrs. Price present.
Bills were allowed amounting to $292.55.
The Librarian report showed the circulation increasing to an unusual extent for the summer months. The average was 97 books a day with 44 new subscribers.
The books show a balance of $993.50 in the Treasury.
The House Committee was authorized to have the Library ceiling repaired and also leak in roof in the new portion of the building.
President McQueen presented an ad offering $100.00 for our books “Route across the Rocky Mountains.” - Mr. Burtsfield was instructed to answer the ad – conveying the impression that we would not part with it for that amount with a view to securing a better offer.
