With all members present except Mrs. Price and Dean Shoemaker the Library Board met in regular session. The minutes of the August and September meetings were read and approved – Bills to the amount of $291.42 were presented and allowed for payment – The Librarian reported a donation of $500 from Mrs. Dr. Coyner representing the Mother's Club and the secretary was instructed to write a letter of acknowledgment.
The regular monthly report showed the circulation to be 2247 – Total borrowers 1536, average lady circulation 894, Total valuation 5043.
The secretary was instructed to advise the Judge of the Circuit Court of the expiration of Dean Shoemaker's term as of Nov. 14 – 1928, of Mrs. Price's terms as of Nov. 15, 1928 and to notify the City Council of the expiration of W. R. Smith's terms as of Nov. 15, 1928 and of Mr. Pierce's terms as of Nov. 15, 1928.
On motion of W. R. Smith the Purdue State Bank was permitted the use of the assembly room for a stockholders meeting the evening of Oct. 8th.
Mrs. Dickey spoke of the use of slides for use with the children at cost of expenses only – also reported the co ed. S. S. class as leasing our room instead of the men.
