The West Lafayette Library Board met in regular session. All members were present but Mrs. Yeager and Mrs. McQueen.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Because Mrs. Dickey, the librarian, was absent, the secretary read her report.
The total number of volumes on the shelves at the end of the month was 9661, and 92 books were added during the month.
There were 2860 borrowers. Adults 1923 and Juvenile 937.
The balance in the treasury was $1380.60
Bills for the month were checked and ordered paid in the sum of $305.03.
The House Committee reported as ready to act on putting in new shelves. It was moved that it be given a free hand to act. The motion was passed.
Attention was called to the District Librarian’s meeting to be held at Kentland May 22. The members were asked to go if possible.
