A special meeting of the Library Board was called for the purpose of discussing the letter which Mr. Burtsfield received from the State Board of Accounts in regard to raising funds for building purposes, and also for the purpose of discussing the new budget for the year.
In lieu of the letter from the State Board of Accounts, the Board decided that it was best under prevailing conditions to drop the plans for building for a year, at least. To ask for an increase of one cent in taxes, and to put the added increase on books.
The budget was adopted as submitted.
