November 2, 1937
The Library Board was called to order Tuesday evening November the second by the vice-president Mr. Creek in the absence of the president Mrs. McQueen.
Bills were checked and allowed in the amount of $290.19.
Mrs. Dickey told the board of the resignation of Mary Smith, assistant librarian and two applications for the position were read. Mr. Mason moved that Mrs. Dickey be given authority to employ Imogene Moore, who had served previously as a substitute at the library. The secretary was instructed to notify Judge Parkinson of the expiration of Professor Mason’s terms and the school board of the expiration of Mrs. McQueen’s and Professor Burtsfield’s terms.
Judge Parkinson later notified the secretary of the reappointment of Professor Mason. Mrs. McQueen’s and Professor Burtsfield’s terms were held over until the school board could act on the notice.
Mrs. Dickey told the board of the state meeting for librarians held in Indianapolis on October the fifteenth.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
