On January the second Mr. McComb who was recently appointed by Judge Parkinson to fill the vacancy created by the death of Mr. Mason was present. Bills to the amount of $226.24 were checked and approved and ordered paid after Mr. Burtsfield moved they be paid.
The financial report from Mr. Miners’s office was read.
The Librarian’s report showed 11781 volumes on library shelves.

Mr. Creek appointed a nominating committee: Mr. Burtsfield chairman, Mr. Vawter member of committee.
After a discussion of how best the public could be interested in a new library building, it was moved that Mr. McComb, Pres. of Morton P.L.A., and Mr. Abbett, pres of High School P.L.A., be asked to appoint committee from their respective schools so as to stimulate interest amongst the townspeople.
The secretary was asked to write a note of appreciation to Mrs. McQueen for her years of service on the Library Board.
