Introduction to Grant Seeking with
8:30-10:00am - Tuesday, October 9
This workshop will assume no prior experience with grantsmanship and is open to all non-profit institutions regardless of program. The workshop will emphasize the basic aspects of grant seeking, including types and sources of funding and grant terminology. Participants will have the opportunity to practice funding searches. Laptops will be made available for use during the workshop (first come first serve), though participants are encouraged to bring their own. Software needed is MS Word and Excel, Adobe Reader, and a reliable Internet browser, such as Mozilla Firefox. Registration is required for this workshop. Topics of discussion will include: Introduction to Grant Seeking, Uses for Grant Money, Understanding Grant Makers, and Identifying Potential Funders. $Free with registration required. Offered in partnership with the Indiana Non-profit Resource Network and the Tippecanoe Arts Federation.
