Muslim Journeys Programs

The West Lafayette Public Library is the recipient of a "Bridging Cultures Bookshelf" grant titled "Muslim Journeys".  The grant will make possible a series of programs which are intended " to help public audiences in the United States become more familiar with the people, places, history, faith, and cultures of Muslims around the world and within the U.S."

A film series will be presented in May as part of this grant program.  Following each film a short discussion, led by an expert in the field of Muslim culture will be presented. All film showings are free of charge and will be presented at the West Lafayette Public Library. Films to be shown:

Thursday, May 2: PERSEPOLIS

Thursday, May 16: JOURNEY TO MECCA

Thursday, May 30: KORAN BY HEART

Films will begin at 6:30 pm at the Library.   Free parking is available.
