bemh-pic1

When a group of British retirees decide to “outsource” their retirement to exotic (and economical) India, they soon discover that the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is not nearly as lavish as its advertisements have promised. Despite this surprise, their new lives will prove to be even more of an adventure than they could have hoped.

Featuring an all-star cast, including Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Nighy, Penelope Wilton, Celia Imrie, and Dev Patel, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (PG-13, 124 minutes, 2011) will be shown by WALLA at the West Lafayette Public Library on Monday, January 14 at 6:45 p.m.

Tracker on Monday, February 11

tracker-pic2After the Boer War, Arjan van Diemen (Ray Winstone) immigrated from South Africa to New Zealand to begin a new life. He did not expect his reputation as a soldier and a tracker to precede him, and he certainly did not expect the local British army garrison to conscript him in order to find a Maori sailor, Kereama (Temuera Morrison), who has been accused of murder. As the manhunt begins, van Diemen is forced to question whether the accused is actually guilty and if either of them will escape with their lives.

WALLA will show Tracker (R, 102 minutes, 2010) at the West Lafayette Public Library on Monday, February 11 at 6:45 pm.

Morning Glory on Monday, May 13

mg-pic1News producer Becky Fuller (Rachel McAdams) has been given the opportunity of a lifetime—a job as the executive producer of a major network morning news show. There’s just one problem: the show is an unmitigated disaster. Will the addition of veteran news anchor Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford) help Becky turn Daybreak around, or will his disdain for morning news be the end of Daybreak?

Morning Glory (PG-13, 107 minutes, 2010) will be shown by WALLA on Monday, May 13 at 6:45 pm.
