Teen & Adult Summer Reading

Rules for Sign-up and Participation:

1.On or after May 23: Complete, tear off and turn in the registration form at the Information Desk near the front doors., or sign-up online.

2.Turn in one reading form per book at the Information Desk, or fill out an on-line entry from.

3.Turn in one extra credit form for reading to a child for an hour or longer (does not have to be in one sitting), or fill out an on-line entry from.

4.Attend a library program & turn in a program slip, or fill out an on-line entry from!

5.Attend a Dig·Me Media Center orientation, watch a Lynda.com tutorial in the Dig·Me Media Center, or make a project in the Dig·Me Media Center.  Turn im a  Dig·Me Media Center for each one you complete, or fill out an on-line entry from.

Learn Scratch Coding! June 5 @ 4pm

In this introductory workshop you will learn how to use Scratch! to create your own interactive stories, games and animations.

Doctor Who Day! June 12 @ 4pm

Watch : The Time of the Doctor, play Doctor Who Monopoly. Make an artistic Dalek, sample DoctorWho themed foods.

Dress up optional.

Fascinating Forensics!  June 19 @ 4pm

There has been a disappearance from Camp—see if you can solve the whodunit using real forensic science.

Duct Tape Maker-Space! June 26 @ 4pm

Create art and  other objects using duct tape. Supplies and tutorials will be provided.

Zombie Party!July 10 @ 6pm

Party like it’s the end of the world by playing Zombies Vs Humans. Dress Up optional.

T-shirt Upcycle! July 17 @ 4pm

Bring an old t-shirt and re-purpose it into something else either by simple sewing  and/or tie–dye.

End of Summer Dance Party! July 24 @ 6pm

Create your own playlist, and bring it to our End of Summer Electronic music dance party.
